What is/are your dream job(s)?

What do you have to do to start working in that industry?

I have not yet decided which role I would like to do in the games design industry yet but I am quite interested in each one so I will continue to improve on each skill in the roles and hopefully this will help me decide which route to go down. The roles that I am interested in most at the moment are producer/project manager, artist, games designer.

What skills do you possess now?

The subjects that I enjoyed most are history, maths and I.T. I gained a lot of valuable skills from these subjects as well such as writing skills, researching techniques and memorisation from history. I gained numeracy and problem solving skills from I.T. I also learned software skills and simple programming skills. Independently (and from work experience) I have learned communication skills, keeping my work space tidy and following instructions.

I have had some work experience to do with working in a kitchen. In this job I helped to prepare food and take orders from the head chef as well as from customers. I ave also worked as a window cleaner and developed my communication and self confidence skills by doing so. I have also acquired a few physical skills along the way such as lifting heavy objects.

The skills that I possess now are confidence, problem solving, small creativity, trustworthiness, honesty, reliability, humour, empathy, numeracy, small public speaking, punctuality, some skills in ICT, teamwork, some innovation.

My interests in video games spans back to when I was a small child, when I first started playing them I was instantly hooked on the immersive and unrealistic worlds that I could explore. They gave me positive emotions and as I grew up I slowly began to take an interest into how they are made. During high school I had developed a passion to join the video games industry and help create games for the enjoyment of people just as the games that I had grown up with gave me enjoyment. As my passion grew my exploration into the industry grew along with it and I found myself loving every aspect that I could be involved with. The development of games peaked my interests extremely high and observing people starting from scratch and developing beloved games sparks magical emotions of love and enchantment.

My goal is to create and help produce a game that captures the hearts of millions of people around the world, one which would conceive a range of emotions inside the players heart and soul. I want to give people back the enjoyment that I felt, so they can get an escape of reality and become immersed in worlds unbeknownst to man. I want them o experience adventures which could only be established in their dreams and to allow them to relieve stress or negative emotions that they could be experiencing at the time. As I have learned there are many roles within the industry and during this moment I do not know what area I'd like excel in. However, I shall hopefully understand the role in which I wish to have as I continue to study the industry. During these years of studying I will develop my skills within each area including my art, sound designing, programming and more.

Even though I have only developed small skills from my games design course, I have acquired a vast amount of different skills from my daily life. Throughout high school I was a shy person and would disagree heavily with trying new activities. However, as I have grown I have learnt to become more confident with situations involving an audience and have become accustomed to being less shy in any situation. I can adapt to certain problems and create solutions as long as I have the a small amount of knowledge to do with the situation at hand. Due to college my creativity has started to develop at a faster rate than it used to, I was a small minded person and followed rules heavily which shows good listening skills. However, this left me to rely a lot more on rules and would not explore or attempt to follow my own route into a lot of situation I was faced with. Since starting college my creativity has developed more and expanded due to the help of my teachers and peers.

When it comes down to personality I am a honest and trustworthy person, I will give my opinion on matter at hand and criticise where criticism is needed. I will attempt not to insult or hurt another persons feelings with my honesty as well. As far as my humour goes I am open to a lot of different humour that people will express and even attempt to add my own humour into the mix. I will always try to bring a positive attitude and encourage people to try their best when working hard, showing my appreciation towards the hard work they are creating.

I have also had work experience with two different jobs, one was a cooking job for a nursery and the other was a window cleaning job. I learned a few skills from each of these jobs. From the cooking job I learned basic cutlery skills and how to keep my work place neat and tidy so it doesn't become too messy and halter any work. From the window cleaning job I learned how to become accustomed to socialising with new people daily.

As for me personally, there have been many interests and hobbies that I have had throughout my life these include video games, watching films of all categories but mainly comedy, attending social events with my friends and family, going out on the weekends and playing pool, exchanging bad jokes, exploring the unknown, reading comics and even more. Pool has been a massive hobby which I play since my father loves to play it as well. I guess I inherited his enthusiasm for it in a small dose and whatever chance we get my father and I will verse each other until we have had enough of the game.

Watching films hasn't been a main part of my life and aren't very interesting to me as they could be, although I have enjoyed a mass amount of them. My favourite genre spans into comedy, this is because I love optimism and to me optimism comes from both enthusiasm and happiness. Comedic films supply me with both of these emotions due to the contents of the films. My favourite films are the spidermen films as the character is quite relatable in a metaphorical way, by this I mean how the character has to juggle this life that he has facing both normal and a non normal life. He gets tackled by real life situations such as education, family, love interests and more yet he then has to have this second crazy side that not a lot of people know he deals with and he can't let the two clash or else it would damage both sides for a long time until they adapt.

Exploring the unknown has been an interest which has started to occur since half way through high school. I loved exploring both physically and metaphorically, when it comes to physically exploring I love travelling and traversing areas and places that I have never been to before, taking in different sceneries and being able to experience a whole new area. Metaphorically I like to explore into psychological emotions and thoughts, anazlysing made up ideas and non fictional stories and more.
